Services

Whether you’re applying for your first contractor’s license, maintaining your current contractor's license, or defending against a complaint with the Nevada State Contractors Board that could jeopardize your license, we provide trusted legal guidance every step of the way. At Cox Construction Law, we help contractors across the west coast navigate the licensing process with confidence and avoid costly mistakes.

When payment issues arise, a mechanic’s lien is one of the most powerful tools a contractor, subcontractor, or supplier has to protect their right to payment. At Cox Construction Law, we help construction professionals comply with the requirements of the mechanic's lien statutes to ensure our clients can record, perfect, and enforce mechanic’s liens  — so they can get paid for the work they’ve done.

Disputes are an unfortunate reality in the construction industry — but they don’t have to derail your business. At Cox Construction Law, we help contractors resolve conflicts through strategic negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation when necessary. We are here to guide clients through complex construction disputes with a clear focus on protecting their time, money, and reputation.

Before you break ground, make sure your contract is working as hard as you are. At Cox Construction Law, we help contractors, subcontractors, and construction professionals review and negotiate contracts that protect their rights, reduce risk, and set clear expectations. We are here to safeguard our clients' projects by ensuring their contracts are solid from day one.

Every entity filed with the Nevada Secretary of State is required to designate a registered agent — a responsible party to receive legal documents, compliance notices, and official correspondence. At Cox Construction Law, we provide registered agent services for our clients.

Choosing the right business structure is one of the most important decisions a contractor can make. At Cox Construction Law, we help construction professionals form and structure their businesses the right way — with compliance, liability protection, and future growth in mind.
